The Adventuresports Institute® (ASI) was developed cooperatively by Garrett College (GC) and Frostburg State University to promote health and fitness, economic development, and environmental awareness through outdoor adventure education and recreation. At its founding in 1992, the Institute launched the first Adventure Sports degree program of its kind in the nation.
