Laker Coach Helps Little League Team

One of the best continues to get better. Garrett College and its baseball program offer the following:

· A Division I program in the NJCAA
· The seventh smallest school in the nation to compete in NJCAA Division I
· Forty player to sign professional contracts in thirty years
· Eight NJCAA All-Americans
· New indoor practice facility and professional-style lockerrooms
· One of the top amateur fields in Maryland
· Only the second team in the Maryland JUCO conference and NJCAA Region XX to have lights
· Continual contact with four-year schools and professional scouts
· Despite a very demanding schedule, the team has averages over twenty wins a year for the past nine years
· A choice of 2 co-ed residence halls or off-campus housing
· Each season the maximum number of games allowed is scheduled

Garrett College has a four-day class schedule (1˝-hr classes two times per week). This allows our players to miss no academic time in the fall, and most games are scheduled Friday, Staurday or Sunday in the spring to allow more class time than most other educational institutions.

Garrett is the second junior college in Maryland equipped with lights. During the summer of 1998 a new impressive 10' x 36' electronic scoreboard was also installed.
