The Lakers were very rusty coming back from Christmas break, only one or two days practice due to weather conditions,  and is was evident is their scoring slumps and inability to contain drives by quicker PG guards and forwards losing in overtime, 87 – 82

6’4 soph forward Marquise Green came off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 22 points, playing one of his best games of the year.  DeAndre Davis, 6’6 freshman wing, only scored 9 but his hustle on the boards and defensively he kept the Lakers in the game.  Two crucial points came with three seconds remaining in regulation and the Lakers needing a bucket down two.  Green missed a long three and Davis put it back in for the tying bucket and overtime.  PG scored early and the Lakers, in serious foul trouble could not regain the lead.

Lakers record is now 8 – 4.
