Harford

Despite inconsistent play again, the Lakers came back from an 8 point second half deficit winning at Harford 81 – 68.  6’6 soph center Frank Holloway scored 21 points and Yannick Zanfack, 6’4 soph wing, added 12.  Shannon McCready, 6’7 forward, played a solid floor game with 10 points, including two threes.  Freshman point guard Corey Groom returned to the starting lineup with 9 points, 8 boards, 7 assists and 2 steals.  Zanfack held Harford’s leading scorer to just 10 points, 11 under his average.  Bench play was again key, as 5’10 freshman point guard Curl Dixon, injured most of the season, played excellent defense and along with freshman 6’ guard Tavares Martin hit late game threes to maintain a steady 8 point lead in the closing minutes.

Laker record improves to 9 – 4 , 4-3 in MD JUCO play.
