The Garrett Lakers overcame a first half 7 point deficit against CCBC Catonsville at the CARC Fieldhouse last night to up the record to 10 – 4 with a 95-73 win.

Sophomore center Frank Holloway, 6’6, scored 30 points and pulled down 10 boards against the smaller Cardinals.  Four other players hit double figures with sophomore wing DJ Ritchie, 6’3, 17 points, 6’6 freshman forward DeAndre Davis, 12, 6’4 sophomore forward Marquise Green 14 points, and 6’4 guard Yannick Zanfack, sophomore, with 13 points all in the second half plus a team high 3 steals.  5’10 frosh point guard Corey Groom went 2 for 2 from the line for his scoring, but added 9 assists to lead the Lakers.  The win also improved the MD JUCO record to 5 – 3, which is important for home seeding. The overall D-2 Region XX record is now 2 – 3.
