Coach Gibson Featured in Basketball Times Magazine

Coach Dennis Gibson has been the head men's basketball coach at Garrett College for 29 seasons, in which he has only had 2 losing seasons, and has made 2 trips to the NJCAA National Championship Tournament. He feels that winning has been plentiful because he insists his players be a team, play hard defense, and be smart players. He also demands they be a part of the big picture, focusing on their academics, doing community service, and being a part of the college community.

Coach Gibson played basketball for Garrett College from 1972-1974 and says that he stays put in part because, "athletics has always been an integral part of life at Garrett and I want it to stay that way. I am fiercly proud of the players who have played here and the tradition that we have establish."
