Coach Elizabeth Show
Elizabeth
Show began her inaugural season as Head Softball Coach
for Garrett College in the Spring of 2006. Mrs. Show
also is employed by the College as the Head Athletic Trainer
and Instructor for the Health and Physical Education classes.
She was excited about the opportunity to start the Softball
Program back up and feels that the first year was a success
despite the weather and the overwhelming competition. “We
had fun and had a successful season in terms of development.
I am certain that we will have a more competitive season
next year with a goal to reach a .500 or better. Recruiting
will be a key factor in our success. Our program will continue
to grow and I am looking forward to continuing my role
as Lady Laker Head Coach.”
Coach Show graduated from Uniontown High School,
Uniontown, Pennsylvania where she played on the Varsity
Fast pitch Softball Team for three years. She was quite
adept at many positions and started each game as either
the second, third or short stop position. She was Captain
of her high school team for 2 years and earned All-county
recognition for 3 years.
Coach Show attended Waynesburg College, Waynesburg,
Pennsylvania where she started at second base for the Yellow
Jackets for 4 years. She was Captain for 2 years. She also
earned Second Team Honors for the Presidents Athletic Conference.
While playing for the Yellow Jackets her career batting
average was .532.
After graduating from Waynesburg in 2002 she decided
to continue her academic career and attended University
of Pittsburg, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She graduated with
a Master of Science Degree in Sports Medicine in 2005.
Coach Show is also current in her National Athletic
Trainer Association Certification which was originally
obtained in 2002.
Coach Lindsey
Teson
Lindsey Teson is a native of Hagerstown, Maryland.
She graduated from Hagerstown Community College in 2001
with an Associates Degree. She then transferred to Frostburg
State University and graduated with her Bachelors Degree
in Parks and Recreation Management.
While at Hagerstown Community College she played two years
of softball and later became a volunteer assistant softball
coach after her two years of eligibility were complete.
During her stay at Hagerstown she competed in Recreational
Volleyball for three years. While Teson was at Frostburg
State University she played one year of softball. Her team
hosted the AMCC Tournament for the first time and received
their first bid to the ECAC tournament.
After graduation Teson accepted a position at the Waynesboro
Area YMCA in Waynesboro Pennsylvania. Teson’s focus
while at the YMCA was Youth and Teen Programming. She coached
youth volleyball, flag football, soccer and many other
sports while at the YMCA. Her position allowed her to build
relationships with children and guide them in their decision
making. She is very excited to be a part of Garrett College
athletics and is excited to experience new adventures as
a college coach.
