Co-head Coaches, Elizabeth Show and Lindsey Teson

Coach Elizabeth Show
Elizabeth Show began her inaugural season as Head Softball Coach for Garrett College in the Spring of 2006. Mrs. Show also is employed by the College as the Head Athletic Trainer and Instructor for the Health and Physical Education classes. She was excited about the opportunity to start the Softball Program back up and feels that the first year was a success despite the weather and the overwhelming competition. “We had fun and had a successful season in terms of development. I am certain that we will have a more competitive season next year with a goal to reach a .500 or better. Recruiting will be a key factor in our success. Our program will continue to grow and I am looking forward to continuing my role as Lady Laker Head Coach.”

Coach Show graduated from Uniontown High School, Uniontown, Pennsylvania where she played on the Varsity Fast pitch Softball Team for three years. She was quite adept at many positions and started each game as either the second, third or short stop position. She was Captain of her high school team for 2 years and earned All-county recognition for 3 years.

Coach Show attended Waynesburg College, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania where she started at second base for the Yellow Jackets for 4 years. She was Captain for 2 years. She also earned Second Team Honors for the Presidents Athletic Conference. While playing for the Yellow Jackets her career batting average was .532.

After graduating from Waynesburg in 2002 she decided to continue her academic career and attended University of Pittsburg, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Sports Medicine in 2005. Coach Show is also current in her National Athletic Trainer Association Certification which was originally obtained in 2002.

Coach Lindsey Teson
Lindsey Teson is a native of Hagerstown, Maryland. She graduated from Hagerstown Community College in 2001 with an Associates Degree. She then transferred to Frostburg State University and graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Parks and Recreation Management.

While at Hagerstown Community College she played two years of softball and later became a volunteer assistant softball coach after her two years of eligibility were complete. During her stay at Hagerstown she competed in Recreational Volleyball for three years. While Teson was at Frostburg State University she played one year of softball. Her team hosted the AMCC Tournament for the first time and received their first bid to the ECAC tournament.

After graduation Teson accepted a position at the Waynesboro Area YMCA in Waynesboro Pennsylvania. Teson’s focus while at the YMCA was Youth and Teen Programming. She coached youth volleyball, flag football, soccer and many other sports while at the YMCA. Her position allowed her to build relationships with children and guide them in their decision making. She is very excited to be a part of Garrett College athletics and is excited to experience new adventures as a college coach.
