Lindsey Teson
Lindsey
Teson is a native of Hagerstown, Maryland. She graduated from Hagerstown
Community College in 2001 with an Associates Degree. She then transferred
to Frostburg State University and graduated with her Bachelors Degree
in Parks and Recreation Management.
While at Hagerstown Community College she played two years of softball
and later became a volunteer assistant softball coach after her two
years of eligibility were complete. During her stay at Hagerstown
she competed in Recreational Volleyball for three years. While Teson
was at Frostburg State University she played one year of softball.
Her team hosted the AMCC Tournament for the first time and received
their first bid to the ECAC tournament.
After graduation Teson accepted a position at the Waynesboro Area
YMCA in Waynesboro Pennsylvania. Teson’s focus while at the
YMCA was Youth and Teen Programming. She coached youth volleyball,
flag football, soccer and many other sports while at the YMCA. Her
position allowed her to build relationships with children and guide
them in their decision making. She is very excited to be a part of
Garrett College athletics and is excited to experience new adventures
as a college coach.
Co-Head Coach: Amanda Frantz
Amanda Frantz is a
native of Friendsville, MD, now living in Swanton, MD. She
graduated Northern Garrett High School in 2003. She then went to
Garrett College and graduated with an Associates Degree in 2005. She
then transferred to Frostburg State University.
At Northern High School, Amanda was involved with four years of
varsity basketball and softball, and three years of varsity volleyball. She
received many MVP awards while in high school; also being chose for
Student Athlete of the Month and All-Area honors numerous times in
all three sports. She was captain of all three sports her senior
year.
While at Garrett College, she was a member of the Garrett College
Women’s Volleyball and Basketball teams. In volleyball
she was a versatile player with hitting power, accuracy and great
passing skills. At Frostburg, Amanda participated in volleyball under
Coach Letourneau. She was an outside/middle hitter, and led
in many statistical categories. She led the 2005 team in kills
with 391. She holds a single match record of kills with 27. She
was also named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. |
