Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B)
            This course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills required for Maryland certification as an EMT-B.  Upon completion the student should be prepared to successfully challenge the state test administered in conjunction with the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems.  This class may have extra weekend sessions

Traffic Incident Management
            This course is designed to enable emergency services responders to increase safety and reduce incident clearance rates at motor vehicle incidents.  Successful completers should be able to work with multiple agencies on the motor vehicle crash or other traffic incidents to increase safety on the scene and to return the site to normal operation as rapidly as possible.

Hazardous Materials Operations
            This course will provide knowledge and skills that will enable the firefighter to analyze a hazardous materials incident, plan and implement an initial response and evaluate the progress of actions taken.  Topics include firefighter safety, regulations and standards, chemistry, recognition and identifications, DOT guidebook, site management, container behavior, defensive control measures, personal protective equipment and decontamination.

Pump Operator
            This course will provide the basic knowledge and skills needed to operate fire department pumping apparatus.  Topics include basic terminology, water supply, water pressure and gauges, hydraulics, positive displacement props, centrifugal pumps, pump power supply systems, relief valves, pressure governors, primers, water sources, and maintenance.

ICS-200: Basic Incident Command System Single Resources & Initial Action Incidents
            This course is designed to enable emergency response personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the Incident Command System (ICS).  The focus of the course is on the management of single resources and is aimed at  those personnel likely to assume a supervisory position within the ICS .

Rescue Technician - Site Operations/Vehicle & Machinery Rescue
            This course will prepare students to approach each rescue incident with attention focused on the importance of proper operational planning and all related components for effective safe site operation, victim management, equipment maintenance and inspection with particular emphasis on vehicular and machinery rescue.  Prerequisite - Protective Envelope and Foam, Pre-Emergency Response Training, Firefighter I or equivalent.

            The ACLSS Evaluation course is required for certification in ACLS.  Only those students who have successfully completed the eACLS course will be permitted to attend.  There will be both a practical skills evaluation and a final written examination.

 PEPP (Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals)
            PEPP represents a comprehensive source of prehospital medical information for the emergency care of infants and children.  It will teach prehospital professionals how to better assess and manage ill or injured children.  Successful course completers will receive a PEPP course completion card.
