Personal Background / Teaching Philosophy / Biography
I worked as an analytical chemist for Texaco's Research Institute in Beacon, NY after receiving my degree from WVU.  My position centered on fuels analysis and standards based upon ASTM methods.  Later I worked at NIST in Gaithersburg, MD as a research chemist in the department of chemical kinetics.  Teaching has been my career at both the high school and college level for the last 25 years.  This is my passion as far as my professional life in concerned.  My daughters and my animals are the center and joy of my life.
