Garrett College Foundation Notes Scholarship Awards

The Garrett College Foundation annually presents scholarships to Garrett College students. Following are the names of scholarship recipients for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Kara Kyle, a current student who lives in Barton, has been awarded the Amy Mildred Sharpless Scholarship. She is pursuing her associate in applied science degree in natural resources & wildlife technology.

Liutarias Repsys, a current student and resident of Lithuania, has received the Garrett College Board of Trustees Scholarship and the Rev. Carol Henry Youse Memorial & Dolores Youse Scholarship. He is pursuing his associate in arts degree in arts & sciences: mathematics/science.

Sean Perry, a resident of Oak Ridge, N.J. has been awarded the Garrett College Foundation Grant. He is pursuing his associate in arts degree in general studies.

Morgan Carr, a resident of Oakland and a 2017 graduate of Northern High School, has received the American Association of University Women Scholarship. She is pursuing her studies in occupational therapy.

Andrew Haberkorn, a current student who lives in Grantsville, has been awarded the Daniel Edward Offutt, III Achievement Award Scholarship. He is pursuing his associate in arts degree in general studies.

Amber Shaw, a resident of Baltimore, has received the Garrett College Foundation Grant. She is pursuing her associate in arts degree in arts & sciences: mathematics/sciences.

Daniel Duggan, a 2017 graduate of Southern High School who resides in Swanton, has been awarded the Colonel J. Haig & Mrs. Ruth Ridder Jackson Scholarship. He is pursuing his associate in arts degree in business administration.

Philip Checkes, a resident of Grantsville and a 2017 graduate of Northern High School, has received the Garrett College Employee Scholarship. He is pursuing his associate in arts degree in general studies.

Kelsey Eichorn, a current student who lives in Swanton, has been awarded the Amy Mildred Sharpless Scholarship. She is studying physical therapy.

Bethany Meyers, a resident of Friendsville and a current student, has received the Dr. Jeanne H. Neff Scholarship. She is pursuing her associate in arts degree in arts & sciences: mathematics/science.

Irie Jefferson, a resident of Cheverly, Md., has been awarded the Garrett College Foundation Grant. He is pursuing his associate in applied science degree in adventure sports management.

Courtney Sanders, a 2017 graduate of Southern High School who lives in Oakland, has received the Hazel Fratz Wright Scholarship. She is pursuing her studies in nursing.

Devon Rounds, a resident of Accident and a 2017 graduate of Northern High School, has been awarded the James H. & Gladys "Happy" Nordeck Memorial Scholarship I. He is pursuing his associate in applied science degree in natural resources & wildlife technology.

Garrett Owens, a current student who lives in Oakland, has received the Rev. Carol Henry Youse Memorial & Dolores Youse Scholarship. He is pursuing his associate of science in engineering degree in electrical engineering.

Erin Frazee, a resident of Friendsville and a current student, has been awarded the William Henry Schmidt Memorial Scholarship. She is pursuing her associate in arts degree in general studies.

Matthew Maust, a resident of Accident and current student, has received the Charles L. Briner Memorial Scholarship. He is pursuing his business & information technology associate in applied science degree in business management & entrepreneurship.

Francesca Gullion, a current student who lives in Lonaconing, has been awarded the Garrett College Foundation Grant. She is pursuing her associate in applied science degree in natural resources & wildlife technology.
