Garrett College Foundation Awards Student Scholarships (Part 6)

The Garrett College Foundation board of directors recently announced the winners of scholarships for the academic year 2012-2013. Awards went to current students as well as new students at GC. Among those earning scholarships are the following:

Shannon N. Miller of Frostburg has been awarded the NewPage Scholarship. She is a 2012 graduate of Northern High School. Shannon will pursue her Garrett College degree in Pre Allied Health with the goal of earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Brianna Lowdermilk, a 2012 graduate of Northern High School and a resident of Friendsville, has earned the Deep Creek Lake Lions Club Scholarship. Brianna plans to major in computer applications for business.

Kurt Gangler, an Oakland resident, was presented with the Charles L. Briner Memorial Scholarship. A 2012 graduate of Southern High School, Kurt will pursue his degree in general studies.

Bethany A. Stevens has been awarded the Amy Mildred Sharpless Scholarship. A resident of Oakland, Bethany is a 2009 graduate of Southern High School. She is pursuing her degree in Elementary Education.
