Garrett College Foundation Awards Student Scholarships (Part 10)

The Garrett College Foundation board of directors recently announced the winners of scholarships for the academic year 2012-2013. Awards went to current students as well as new students at GC. Among those earning scholarships are the following:

Kyle D. Maust of Accident has been awarded the Deep Creek Lake Lions Club Scholarship. Kyle is a 2012 graduate of Northern High School who will pursue his degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences.

Justin P. Weeks, a 2010 graduate of Southern High School and a resident of Oakland, has earned the Dr. Bruce Jenkins Memorial Fund Scholarship. Justin is pursuing his degree at Garrett College in Education.

Ian W. Lienhard, a resident of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., is a 2012 graduate of Washington High School. Ian has been awarded the Ruddel Family Scholarship. He plans to earn his Garrett College degree in Adventure Sports Management.

Chloe A. Birch has been awarded the Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Boxley, III Scholarship. A resident of Davis, W.Va., Chloe is a 2012 graduate of Tucker County High School. She will pursue her degree in Nursing. Elizabeth B. Rush, an Oakland resident and 2007 graduate of Southen High School, has been awarded the Audrey Naylor Scholarship. Her goal is to earn a degree in journalism.

Blair L. Upole, a 2012 graduate of Northern High School and a resident of Grantsville, has been awarded the American Association of University Women Scholarship. Blair will pursue her degree in education.

Justin M. Durst of Grantsville, a 2012 graduate of Northern High School, has been selected to receive the Deep Creek Lake Lions Club Stewart Jackson Memorial Scholarship. Justin plans to earn his degree in general studies.

Brittany P. Knotts, a resident of Oakland and 2012 graduate of Southern High School, has earned the Helen B. Rostosky Volleyball Scholarship. Brittany intends to major in pre-nursing.
