A Moment of Silence

Moments of silence were observed across the Garrett College campus on Tuesday marking the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. In remembrance of those who died Staff and faculty gathered at the Labyrinth by the flag poles in front of the college for this 9 a.m. commemoration. Other moments of silence were observed in classroom at 8:45 a.m. for those who died when American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center, at 9:03 a.m. for those who died when the United Airlines Flight 175 struck the South Tower of the World Trade Center, at 9:43 a.m. for those who died when American Airlines Flight 77 struck the Pentagon, and at 10 a.m. for those who died when United Airlines Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, Penn.
