FastTrac® New Venture Course Offered Through GC Continuing Education

A new course on entrepreneurship, FastTrac New Venture Program, will be introduced by Garrett College Continuing Education and Workforce Development division on Thursday, Oct. 18 and continue on successive Thursdays through Dec. 20. Classes will be held in the Garrett Information Enterprises Center (GIEC) on the McHenry campus in Room 103 from 6 to 9 p.m. This instructor for the course is Mike Tumbarello, Coordinator of the GIEC.

Sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation of Entrepreneurship, FastTrac was first launched through the University of Southern California's Entrepreneur Program in Los Angeles in 1986. It has since expanded to meet the changing needs of organizations and entrepreneurs.

Designed specifically for entrepreneurs in the early stages of business development, FastTrac New Venture provides a basic framework for starting a new business; encourages critical thinking about the feasibility of the business in the marketplace; outlines ways to set realist financial goals for the business; and defines various methods and steps in marketing. Anyone interested in getting more information on the course including cost or in registering may call Tumbarello at 301-387-3167.
