GC Foundation Awards Scholarships (Part 8)

The Garrett College Foundation annually presents scholarships to Garrett College students. In the weeks to come the names of those receiving these awards will be published. Following are the names of several scholarship recipients.

Brittany DeWitt, a resident of Oakland, has received the American Association of University Women Scholarship. She is a 2013 graduate of Southern High School and will be studying for a degree in Nursing.

John Friend of Mtn. Lake Park has been awarded the Hazel Fratz Wright Scholarship. Having graduated from Southern High School this spring, he will begin to pursue his degree in Business Administration at Garrett College.

Olivia Gaither, who resides in Oakland, was presented with the Dorothy Brock Leighton Scholarship. Gaither, who is currently a student at Garrett College, is majoring in Elementary Education.

Brianna Lowdermilk, who lives in Friendsville, is the winner of the Wilma A. Calhoun Scholarship. She graduated from Northern High School in 2012 and I currently pursuing a degree in Computer Applications for Business.

Cody Murphy, a resident of Oakland and a 2013 graduate of Southern High School, earned Hazel Fratz Wright Scholarship. He will begin studying for his associate’s degree in General Studies at Garrett College.
