Information Literacy

Today, information is available from many sources and in many formats, including books, journals, magazines, television, videos, library databases, web sites, and more. Information literacy is knowing how to find the right information from all these sources, evaluate it, and then use it effectively. When you are information literate you know where to find the information you need for greater knowledge and understanding of any subject.

Garrett College is committed to providing students with the information literacy skills that will be needed in the 21st century.
