The Office of Records and Registration supports teaching and learning at Garrett College by maintaining the integrity of academic policies and the student information system. We are the perpetual stewards of our students’ records from application to degree conferral. The primary roles of this office is the maintenance of students’ permanent academic records; support of the College's Student Information System; administration and application of academic policies; and data analysis and reporting.


Registration
You are encouraged to register as early as possible to ensure a space in your selected classes. All students are required to meet with an advisor before registering.  To schedule an advising appointment, new students may contact the Admissions office; returning students are to directly contact their previously-assigned advisor.

Registration Fees
A non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee will be assessed each semester.

Dropping a Course / Withdrawing from College
Students who elect to drop a course by the official drop date must contact the Office of Records & Registration and process the Drop/Add or Withdrawal in writing.

Tuition Waiver for Student with Disabilities (Credit Programs)
Any resident of Maryland who is out of the workforce because of permanent disability as defined by the Social Security Act, the Railroad Retirement Act, or in case of former federal employees, the Office Personnel Management, may be eligible for a tuition waiver. Review the Guide for Tuition Waiver for Students with Disabilities for eligibility requirements, waiver limitations, and certification form.
