The 2nd Annual Garrett County Volunteer Fair -- sponsored by Garrett College, the Garrett Board of Education, and local women’s organizations including GFWC Civic Club of Oakland, AAUW, and Business and Professional Women, is scheduled for Thursday, September 22, 2011, from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Designed to connect VOLUNTEERS AND ORGANIZATIONS,the Volunteer Fair will be held in the Garrett College Gymnasium. Organizations will be on hand to discuss specific volunteer opportunities. There is no cost to attend the fair—just bring your willingness to help and serve your community!

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, over 63 million people have volunteered in the past year in some way. There are many volunteer opportunities within Garrett County and surrounding areas, and they need talented and giving people like you!
