News Alumni Events Scheduled To Kick Off Athletics Hall Of Fame Weekend - Garrett College

Garrett College McHenry campus offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The wearing of CDC-recommended face masks or face coverings is optional, except for individuals required to wear as part of the isolation or quarantine guidelines.

Employees and students are not required to be vaccinated at this time but are strongly encouraged to do so.

Alumni Events Scheduled to Kick-off Athletics Hall of Fame Weekend

On Saturday, October 28th, the 1994 Laker men’s basketball team, which won Garrett College’s first state and Region XX championships, along with three former athletes Michele Duling, Mike Nagle and Benny Shreve, and two-time baseball Coach of the Year Ed Wildesen, will be inducted into the college’s Athletic Hall of Fame. This will be the second class to be inducted.

Organizers have planned two other events connected with the Hall of Fame that will take place during the Hall of Fame weekend. Baseball Coach Eric Hallenbeck will be hosting a meet-and-greet for all alumni at the Green Turtle just off Route 219 in McHenry on Friday, October 27th at 7 p.m.

Three Laker teams will host meet-and-greet practices on the CARC gymnasium West Court on Saturday, October 28th with volleyball (11 a.m.), men’s basketball (12 noon) and women’s basketball (1 p.m.) participating.

Alumni and friends from all sports and all years are invited to attend these meet-and-greets.
