News Continuing Education Workforce Development To Offer Free Active Shooter Training - Garrett College

Due to the forecasted extreme cold temperature, Garrett College will open at 10:00am, Wednesday, January 22, 2025. All classes and activities with a start time at or after 10:00am will meet as scheduled. Campus will be accessible 45 minutes before the opening time. Essential employees report as scheduled.

Continuing Education & Workforce Development to offer free active shooter training

Garrett College Continuing Education & Workforce Development has scheduled a free, 90-minute presentation on how to be prepared for, and how to respond to an active shooter situation. This informative session is ideal to protect one’s employees from potential workplace violence.

Clark Warnick is the instructor for the informative training session. The training will be held at the Garrett College Southern Outreach Center (Oakland Armory, 14 N. 8th Street) on Thursday, February 8th from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
