Essential Oils 101 to be offered at GC

Garrett College Continuing Education and Workforce Development will be offering a course, Essential Oils 101, at the main campus in McHenry. The course will be held on February 1, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Using essential oils can be a safe, natural option to support, protect and maintain your and your family’s health. In this introductory class, you will learn the following: what are essential oils, how to use essential oils safely, ways to reduce your toxic load with essential oils and the top oils every household needs for natural health and well-being. Through this class you can empower yourself with pure and customizable natural solutions so you find a natural health, wellness and beauty routine that is right for you.

The instructor for this course is Kearstin Hinebaugh. In her quest to reduce the toxic load for her and her family, she began researching various natural solutions. That research quickly led her to essential oils. Since uncovering their diverse applications and uses, she has become an essential oil enthusiast, learning everything she can about these gifts of the earth. These days she is, admittedly, a bit obsessed with transforming her routines and making over her medicine, beauty and cleaning cabinets with oil-based products and wants to assist others in doing the same.

To register for this course persons may contact Garrett College Continuing Education and Workforce Development at 301-387-3069.
