Explore Garrett Outdoor Studies Open House held at GC
Session highlighted College’s Adventure Sports Management & Natural Resources and Wildlife Technology programs
An Explore Garrett Outdoor Studies open house featuring Garrett College’s signature programs, Adventure Sports Management and Natural Resources and Wildlife Technology (NRWT) was held on Saturday, November 17th at the College’s McHenry campus. These programs are unique in the state of Maryland and provide experiential, hands-on education to students interested in outdoor studies.
Over 40 attendees throughout the region were introduced to faculty, staff, alumni, and current students in each program. Presentations discussing each of the unique programs and their benefits were given, including testimonials among current students and alumni.
Those in attendance learned all about the practical, outdoor instruction embedded in both programs, including how each program provides strong transfer credentials or the career-ready skill sets that industry employers are looking for.
