Garrett College Foundation Notes Scholarship Awards
The Garrett College Foundation annually presents scholarships to Garrett College students. Following are the names of scholarship recipients for the 2017-2018 academic year.
Marlee Shumate, a resident of Lonaconing, has received the Josh Fike Scholarship. She is pursuing her associate of applied science degree in natural resources & wildlife technology.
Lane Savage, a 2017 graduate of Southern High School and a resident of Oakland, has been awarded the James H. & Gladys "Happy" Nordeck Memorial Scholarship I. He is pursuing his associate in arts degree in business administration.
Mikolas Ruggiero, a current student who lives in Accident, has received the William Henry Schmidt Memorial Scholarship. He is pursuing his associate of applied science degree in business & information technology: graphic/web design.
Bethany Hershberger, a 2017 graduate of Northern High School who resides in Kitzmiller, has been awarded the Joan Dixon Memorial Scholarship. She is pursuing her associate in arts degree in general studies.
Andrew Kemp, a resident of Confluence, Pa., has received the Ruth I. Filsinger Memorial Scholarship. He is pursuing his associate in arts degree in arts & sciences: liberal arts.
Jonathan Kirk, of Terra Alta, W.Va., has been awarded the Amy Mildred Sharpless Scholarship. He is pursuing his associate of science in engineering degree in electrical engineering.
Pamela Frantz, a current student who resides in Oakland, has received the Civic Club of Oakland: Patience W. Grant Memorial Scholarship. She is pursuing her associate in arts degree in general studies.
Alexander Barkley, a resident of Confluence, Pa., has been awarded the Garrett College Foundation Grant. He is pursuing his associate of applied science degree in business & information technology: business management and entrepreneurship.
