Garrett College Foundation Notes Scholarship Awards
The Garrett College Foundation annually presents scholarships to Garrett College students. Following are the names of scholarship recipients for the 2017-2018 academic year.
Kylie Frantz, a current student who lives in Grantsville, has been awarded the Cortney & Marie Tasker Scholarship. She is pursuing her studies in nursing.
Xavier Thomas, of Randallstown, has received the Garrett College Foundation Grant. He is pursuing his associate in arts degree in arts & sciences: psychology.
Garrett Baker, a 2017 graduate of Northern High School who resides in Grantsville, has been awarded the Deep Creek Lake Lions Club: Stewart Jackson Memorial Scholarship. He is pursuing his associate of science degree in computer science.
Gabirella Wildesen, a resident of Swanton and a 2017 graduate of Southern High School, has received the Junior Women's Civic Club Scholarship. She is pursuing her associate in arts degree in general studies.
Richard Jetter, a resident of Pittsburg, Pa. and a 2017 graduate of Baystar High School, has been awarded the Total Biz Fulfillment, Inc.: Ruddell Family Scholarship. He is pursuing his associate in arts degree in business administration.
Amber Johnson, of Louisville, Ky., has received the Garrett College Foundation Grant. She is pursuing her associate in arts degree in teacher education: physical education and health – teaching/coaching.
Teri Macomber, a 2017 graduate of Northern High School who lives in Accident, has been awarded the Hazel Fratz Wright Scholarship. She is pursuing her associate in arts degree in teacher education: secondary education.
Jordyn Bennett, a current student who resides in Oakland, has received the Marilyn Moors AAUW "Second Chances" Memorial Scholarship. She is pursuing her studies in nursing.
Grant Owens, a 2017 graduate of Southern High School who lives in Oakland, has been awarded the Wayne G. Kelley Memorial Scholarship. He is pursuing his associate of science in engineering degree in electrical engineering.
Stephen Zelows, a resident of Whiteboro, N.Y., has received the Garrett College Foundation Grant. He is pursuing his associate of applied science degree in adventure sports management.
