GC Lakers compete in first cross country meet of the season
The Garrett College men’s and women’s cross country teams recently competed in their first meet of the season at Westmoreland Community College in Youngwood, Pa. on Saturday, September 7th.
The event consisted of four year university teams, junior college teams and individual runners. The Garrett Lakers men’s team had four finishers in the top 10 in the junior college division. Freshman Christian Jordan (Oakland, Md.) placed second with a time of 19.19, followed by Bryson Brill (Oakland, Md.) in fifth, Garrett Beaulieu (Grantsville, Md.) in sixth and Zach Warnick (Oakland, Md.) in seventh. In the women’s division, Kayla Harris (Oakland, Md.) finished in ninth place among junior college participants. GC’s cross country teams will be competing in the upcoming Penn State Mont Alto meet on September 21st.
