Introduction to Adobe Photoshop to be offered at GC's Northern Outreach Center
Garrett College Continuing Education and Workforce Development has scheduled a course, Introduction to Adobe Photoshop, at the Northern Outreach Center in Grantsville. The training will be held Tuesdays, March 6 to 27, 6- 9:15 p.m.
For those who are brand new to Adobe Photoshop, this course will get you up to speed and if you've been using Adobe Photoshop for a while, this will be a nice refresher. Students will navigate through the Adobe environment and identify the components and tools. You will explore various methods for selecting image areas, and learn how to modify, manipulate, and transform selections to create stunning effects. You will discover how to work with text, layers, and layer effects; and how to adjust, retouch, and resize images.
The course is being instructed by Kristine Ayers. Ayers is a Graphic Designer and director for Bethel Christian School. She had earned her Bachelor's Degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She has done freelance work for many years and has extended her art to help people with disabilities. She has used her art to help people with disabilities to heal and to help themselves. As an educator, she has helped young people open up and help them realize their dreams. She has also educated people with disabilities to help themselves and become more independent.
