Garrett College is offering a Maryland Boater Safety course at the College's McHenry campus. The session will be held Saturday, July 7, from 8:30 am to 5 p.m.

Practice some chart reading and review the channel marker system in coastal waters.

Individuals born after June 1, 1972 are required to have an approved Boater's Safety card in their possession when operating a power boat in Maryland. Successful completion of this course will provide that card. The course is open to those 12 years of age and over and parents and grandparents are welcome to take the course as a refresher.
