Powerful Potential conference seeks to inspire individuals, businesses on October 3rd at GC

Garrett College Continuing Education and Workforce Development recently announced the 2019 Powerful Potential Conference to be held Thursday, October 3rd at Garrett College. The event will kick off with breakfast and networking at 8:30 a.m. in Room 111 of the Garrett Information Enterprise Center (GIEC) building. Lunch will be provided. Participants attending the conference will acquire a behind the scenes look at growth strategies and innovation road maps used by top manufactures to stay ahead of the market; update lean and continuous improvement tools in order to maximize efficiency and reduce waste; meet and exchange ideas with peers in their own markets and respective industries; and engage with the conference's keynote speaker, Robert Stearns.
As founder and CEO of Powerful Potential International, a leadership development and organizational development consulting and training company, Stearns and his associates are experts in developing a performance excellence culture for organizations. They have been finding solutions for clients since 1985. Together, they work with the leadership team to assess organizational needs, and then to implement targeted solutions which build teamwork, improve existing work processes where needed, and improve results.
Stearns was the architect and leader of the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Process for Medrad Inc., a market leading developer of medical imagining products based in Pittsburgh, Pa., from 1995 –2000. In 1999, and again in 2000, he led Medrad, Inc. to the finals of the award process.
The company won the Baldrige Award in 2003. Stearns is one of only 100 people in history to lead an organization to win this prestigious award.
In founding Powerful Potential, he specializes in the following areas: leadership development, strategic planning, customer loyalty, employee engagement, and process improvement. A professional public speaker that has spoken in eight countries, Stearns inspires not only audience members to optimize their company's potential, but personal potential as well.
He will discuss the five keys to achieving tactical and strategic excellence using the Baldridge Model, all of which can be applied for the following industries: manufacturing, healthcare, education, small and large businesses, and non-profit organizations. Working in small teams, conference participants will seek to crack 'the case of the inefficient circuit board manufacturer'.
The registration fee is $149 per person. Three or more individuals from the same organization will receive a discount and be able to register for $129 per person.
