STEM Renovation Progress at Garrett College

Construction is well underway at Garrett College for the new Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) building at the McHenry campus. The STEM building renovation is an $8.5 million project funded by the state and county government.

The capital project is a renovation of the College’s existing Continuing Education building and will consist of a building addition for new science labs. The new facility is scheduled to be complete next summer and is on target to open in August of 2018. Garrett College’s new STEM facility will house instructional classrooms and labs for the following programs: physics, biology, chemistry, math, engineering, as well as activities for robotics.
