Students Awarded Occupational Scholarship at GC
Two students were recently awarded the Occupational Scholarship, as part of the Garrett County Scholarship Program. As of July 2015, students can enroll in eligible workforce development programs, such as welding, machining, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), truck driving, phlebotomy, and other allied health programs. Through the Garrett County Scholarship Program, he or she may be eligible for tuition assistance to complete any of the above programs.
Garrett Kolb, is a resident of Grantsville and will be graduating from Northern High School this coming June. He is currently enrolled in the welding program at Garrett College.
Joston Lipscomb, is a 2017 graduate of Southern High School who resides in Kitzmiller. He is enrolled in the manual machining program at Garrett College.
