VA representatives announce visits to GC

Kathy Fauber, financial aid and veteran’s affairs counselor at GC, recently announced that VA representatives have scheduled upcoming visits to the GC McHenry campus. Representatives will meet in Room 127 in the Garrett Information Enterprise Center (GIEC) building #100.

Mr. Aaron Clark, Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs, veterans benefit specialist, will visit Garrett College on Wednesday, November 14th, with continual visits planned for the second Wednesday of every month, beginning at 9 a.m., ending at 1:30 p.m.

Additionally, a vet center staff counselor will be at the McHenry campus on Wednesday, October 24th, with reoccurring visits taking place the fourth Wednesday of every month from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Both VA representatives are available to assist veterans and their families with any concerns or needs in the Garrett County community and surrounding areas. Veterans do not need to be a student at Garrett College to attend either of the monthly sessions listed above.

Fauber also noted that James Marchinke, veterans outreach program specialist, will be at the Oakland Armory the second and fourth Monday of each month, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
