Semester of Savings Program

Through a variety of funding sources, more students may be eligible for more aid this winter, allowing most to attend this year’s winter session at Garrett College with zero-tuition*.

The Semester of Savings Program applies to both current and prospective new students, provided they are working towards earning their degree at Garrett College.

What is zero-tuition?

The Semester of Savings Program will offset the cost of tuition and combined fees (zero-tuition) at Garrett College for all winter classes. When you receive a bill for the winter semester, you will notice the charges for tuition and combined fees will be offset by a variety of funding sources.

Any additional fees and course materials are not covered by the Semester of Savings Program.

What do I need to qualify for zero-tuition?

To qualify for the Semester of Savings Program, you will need to do the following:

  • Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program at Garrett College

    To find out if you are enrolled in a degree-seeking program, contact your advisor. New students are encouraged to contact the Office of Admissions at 301-387-3044.

*Please note that not all students may qualify for zero-tuition through the Semester of Savings Program. Eligibility is determined by the Garrett College Financial Aid Office, as funding sources have different stipulations and guidelines. Questions? Contact Financial Aid at 301-387-3080.

All classes will be offered online.

By enrolling in a winter class, students can complete credits towards their degree, raise their grade-point-average (GPA), get ahead in their degree progress, or even graduate early. The Semester of Savings Program is a great opportunity for those students who qualify to enroll in a class this winter by paying zero-tuition.
