Garrett College invites internal applications for a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician I. This position is responsible for general care, custodial, and maintenance of the campus facilities. This position will work primarily in the residence halls doing custodial, general maintenance, and grounds work which includes snow removal. As part of the Facilities Department staff, this position is also responsible, as necessary, for generalized safety of the campus and related College property. This opening is for first shift, 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday. Experience Required: Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance, construction, custodial, and/or safety related field. Must be able to establish rapport with residential students. Pay range is $16.22 to $19.28 per hour. Outstanding benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement plan, and life insurance available shortly after hire. Paid time off is available after a 90-day provisional period. This position is responsible for general care and maintenance of the campus facilities. Work is generally routine; however, special projects may be conducted under the direct supervision. As part of the Facilities Department staff, this position is also responsible, as necessary, for generalized safety of the campus and related College property. Experience Required: Minimum 2 years' experience in maintenance, construction, custodial, and/or safety related field. Pay range is $16.22 to $19.28 per hour.
