This position supports the College’s business operations by ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of posting of expenditures, processing of payments to vendors and supporting quarterly and year-end account closeouts.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED + three (3) years’ related work experience
  • Associate’s Degree in a related field + one (1) year related work experience

The Continuing Education and Workforce Development Division at Garrett College is accepting applications for a Welding Instructor.

Are you an experienced welding professional interested in sharing your knowledge and preparing the next generation of skilled workers? Do you have evening availability and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the welding industry? Do you have a few hours a week?

2026-06-29 Instructors for I Can Swim McHenry Campus View  

Community Aquatics & Recreation Complex (CARC) is seeking applicants for Instructors for the I Can Swim program.

I Can Swim is a blended learning experience for Garrett County’s kindergarten students. It is a combination of water safety in the classroom and swim lessons in the pool.

The program runs for 6 weeks in the fall and 6 weeks in the spring during the school year. Hours are 9am-2pm Monday-Thursday. Instructors must enjoy working with children and have some background in aquatics and/or water safety with some knowledge of swimming.

Instructors are responsible for working with a team of instructors to keep the students safe while creating a fun learning environment. Instructors are responsible for classroom set up, classroom tear down, and day to day organization of classroom time.

The Public Services Librarian supports the Head Librarian in the delivery of instruction, research, and information services; participates in collection and access services; and leads student-centered engagement and outreach initiatives within the Library & Learning Commons. This position provides information literacy instruction and reference support, develops instructional materials, coordinates daily public service operations, and supervises student employees. This position develops, coordinates, and evaluates student engagement programming and outreach initiatives that promote student success, connection, and use of library and Learning Commons resources. The Public Services Librarian collaborates with faculty, staff, and campus and community partners to support student learning, engagement, retention, and broader Learning Commons initiatives.

Qualifications: One or more years’ related training and/or experience preferred.

Education: MLS or MLIS from an ALA accredited program; will consider candidate seeking MLS or MLIS
