Garrett College McHenry campus offices will be open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Offices will be closed for service from 12- 1 p.m. for lunch. 2020-10-02 Paramedic Lead Instructor: Variable-Hour McHenry Campus View   Download  

Garrett College invites applications for a variable-hour Paramedic Lead Instructor. This position is responsible for providing the majority of instruction for the Paramedic program with assistance from support instructors for skills labs. The instructor will provide a holistic approach to the cohort, offering coaching and remediation as needed to facilitate student success. This position reports to the Career Technology Training Center (CTTC) located in Accident, MD.

Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency medicine / prehospital care. Teaching experience to include core knowledge, skills instruction, and remediation. Associate’s Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Must be a certified Maryland paramedic and a National Registered paramedic.

Garrett College is seeking applicants for a full-time custodial technician. Currently this position is working a daylight shift (Monday through Friday); however, in the future, this position may work night shift from 10 PM to 6 AM.

This position is responsible for performing all tasks related to cleaning and housekeeping of the campus facilities. As part of the Facilities Department staff, this position is also responsible, as necessary, for the generalized safety of the campus and related College property.

Garrett College invites applications for a variable-hour Marketing Specialist. This position will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies including graphic design, photography, videography, digital media, and social media for the Community Education & Performing Arts Center (CEPAC), Continuing Education & Workforce Development (CEWD), and the Community Aquatic & Recreation Complex (CARC).

Qualifications: Associate’s Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, marketing or a related field is preferred.

This position is a variable-hour position. Hours per week will not exceed 24 hours. Pay range is $24 to $27 per hour based on relative experience. Hours are flexible each week. 2020-07-16 Instructor - Introduction to Diesel Mechanics: Preventative Maintenance N.O.C. View  

The Continuing Education and Workforce Division of Garrett College is seeking a motivated individual to provide classroom and hands-on instruction to prepare students to take the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) entry level student certification exam: Inspection, Maintenance, And Minor Repair. Content areas include the following: diesel engines, drive train, brakes, suspension and steering, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. The ideal candidate for the job is an experienced diesel mechanic (certification is a plus) who is interested in a part-time, daytime position helping students learn essential skills for entry-level employment. Prior teaching experience is NOT required. We are looking for someone who is energetic and enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with others, while making a difference in the community.
