Garrett College invites applications for a full-time Faculty in Psychology to join its team in McHenry, Maryland. This 10-month faculty position (Assistant/Associate Professor rank based on qualification and experience) is responsible for the preparation, development, planning, delivery, and assessment of classroom material; the academic advisement of students; and participation in the academic process. Garrett College is searching for an outstanding and enthusiastic individual for a full-time position in Psychology to begin in the fall of 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of psychology courses in the program curricula. In addition, the candidate may be asked to teach relevant college courses at local high schools. The person filling this position is expected to be actively involved in departmental and campus committees and will participate in curriculum development as well as student learning assessment. Faculty at Garrett College carry a 15-credit/semester teaching load. Occasional evening and/or weekend hours may be required. Required Qualifications: Qualified candidates will hold a Master’s Degree in Psychology and have a minimum of three (3) years of full-time college teaching experience, community college level preferred. If the candidate holds a Doctorate Degree, a minimum of one (1) year of full-time college teaching experience is required, community college level preferred. Additional industry experience is highly considered. Candidates must have demonstrated experience using instructional technology in the classroom and a dedication to teaching excellence and the mission of a community college. Garrett College is a small, rural two-year college located approximately 180 miles west of Baltimore/Washington D.C. and 120 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA. Garrett College, a two-year learner-centered college located in a rural four-season recreational environment in western Maryland, seeks an outstanding and enthusiastic individual for a full-time Coordinator of Distance Learning and Instructional Design position. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to promote campus-wide online learning initiatives and ensure quality teaching and learning experiences. The position serves as the administrator of the Learning Management System (LMS), provides user support, and acts as the primary point of contact for the online bookstore. Responsibilities may include teaching up to six (6) credits per semester, providing in-person LMS support to students at loca l high schools, and working evening and weekend hours as needed. Qualified applicants will hold a Master’s Degree, with required experience in Instructional Design, Distance Learning, Academic Instruction, or related fields. Instructional and Information Technology experience is preferred. A Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the coordination or management of a distance learning program or LMS, teaching in an on-line environment, curriculum development experience with online and distance learning quality best practices and design standards (such as Quality Matters) is required. Additionally, Garrett College seeks applicants who can contribute to the enrichment of the multicultural and learning environment of the College. Garrett College is inviting applications for the full-time position of Women's Volleyball Coach and Athletics Assistant. This joint appointment position is responsible for all facets of the women's volleyball program including recruitment, coaching, scheduling, transportation, and fundraising. This position assists with all athletics operations. This position is also responsible for performing administrative duties for the athletic department. This position isrequired to abide by the rules and regulations established by Garrett College and the NJCAA. The minimum education requirement for this position is a Bachelor's degree. The applicant must have one year of coaching experience at the college level. The applicant must possess strong oral and written communication skills and be able to work as a team member in the college community to include students, staff, faculty, and administration across all departments.
