Women's Softball and Volleyball Coach

Garrett College is inviting applications for the full-time position of Women's Softball and Volleyball Coach. Garrett College is inviting applications for the positions of Residential Coordinator and Athletic Coach. This position must reside in a provided on-campus apartment. This position is responsible for overseeing the students in the Residence Halls and assists in the development and implementation of various duties assigned in the residential community. The Residential Coordinator will also be an assistant or coach for the athletic department depending on qualifications. This position has overall responsibility for the maintenance of the College's Management Information Systems (MIS). Perform updates to database and MIS software. Creates and maintains role-based access control (RBAC) within the MIS. Acts as a liaison between users and software vendors to solve problems. Works with users to develop automation solutions to realize efficiencies.

Bachelor’s degree in an IT or related field is required along with a minimum three (3) years’ experience with SQL database management, customization of databases with SQL, and with report and web development.

Salary range is $45,056 to $53,555. We offer an outstanding fringe benefit package. Health plan is available the first of the month after hire date. Paid time off is available after the successful completion of a 90-day provisional period.

Garrett College, a two-year learner-centered college located in a rural four-season recreational environment in western Maryland, seeks an outstanding and enthusiastic individual for a fulltime Coordinator of Distance Learning and Instructional Design position to begin in the spring of 2021. The person filling this position is expected to be actively involved in faculty professional development, departmental and campus committees and will participate in statewide distance learning.

Qualified applicants will hold a Master's Degree, with required experience in Instructional Design, Distance Learning, Academic Instruction, or related fields. Instructional and Information Technology experience is preferred.

A Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the coordination or management of a distance learning program or LMS, teaching in an on-line environment, curriculum development experience with online and distance learning quality best practices and design standards (such as Quality Matters) is required.

Additionally, Garrett College seeks applicants who can contribute to the enrichment of the multicultural and learning environment of the College. Garrett College invites applications for a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician I. This position is responsible for general care and maintenance of the campus facilities. Work includes routine maintenance of facilities and equipment and special projects. As part of the Facilities Department staff, this position is also responsible for generalized safety of the campus and related College property.

The current opening is for second shift, 6 am – 2 pm, Monday through Friday.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent, and minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance, construction, custodial, and/or safety related field. A background check, including motor vehicle records, will be conducted and must be cleared. Must possess a valid Maryland Class C-type driver's license or equivalent. Hourly wage range is $11.75-$13.88. Placement will vary based on relevant experience.
