Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine editor, Jess Daddio, to present
Biking the great Tour Divide
Jess Daddio, travel editor for Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine, is scheduled to give a presentation, ‘A Woman’s Experience Biking the Great Tour Divide Route’ as part of the adventure sports colloquium series on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 7 p.m. in Room 1013 of the Center for Adventure & Outdoor Studies (CAOS) building at the McHenry campus of Garrett College.
The adventure sports colloquium series presentation is part of a course for students enrolled in the Adventure Sports program. The general public is also invited and welcome to attend the presentation.
Prior to joining the outdoor program at her alma mater Emory & Henry College, Daddio’s time in the outdoors was usually seen through the two furry ears of her family's horses. She's since changed saddles and steeds and has just returned from a 44-day tour of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, a 2,700-mile two-wheeled journey that begins in Banff, Canada, and ends at the Mexico border in Antelope Wells, New Mexico. When she is not writing or biking, she maintains an irregular yoga practice.
For more information on the November 14 colloquium presentation that is open to the general public, persons may contact the Garrett College Adventure Sports office at 301-387-3330.
