All of our students have a unique story to tell. Many start out at Garrett College with plans to transfer to a four-year college or university. A large percentage of our students are the first in their family to attend college. Others seek to advance their career by learning a new skill.

Why did you choose Garrett College?
Answer: I talked to Coach Hallenbeck on the phone and decided to transfer here to better myself in and out of the classroom. Being here has already help me become a better student and keep up with my work and bettering myself on the baseball diamond.

How is your semester going so far?
Answer: My semester is going good so far. I’ve met a lot of new people and everyone has been very helpful.

What activities are you involved with on campus? How has this added to your college experience?
Answer: I came to GC to play baseball for the Garrett Lakers. This is my first collegiate start for baseball. Being involved with baseball has helped me with school and having people I can always ask for help. I’ve become a better person and more productive.

Answer: Everyone is always so friendly and helpful – ask if you need something and they will be sure to help you!

What are your plans after GC?
Answer: I plan to continue my academic and baseball career and hopefully play for a Division I school.
