Question: Why did you choose Garrett College?
Answer: I chose Garrett College because I saw it as a great opportunity to continue wrestling collegiately with great coaches while working towards a degree.

Question: What activities are you involved with on campus? How has this added to your college experience?
Answer: I am on the wrestling team and also do work study in the athletic department. These have enhanced my college experience because they are both things that I have passion for. It is something that I enjoy to do and helps me stay disciplined.

Question: What challenges have you faced and how have you overcome them?
Answer: The main challenge I have faced is being injured early on and still not being able to compete at all. With the help of the faculty, coaches, and athletic trainers along with my teammates support I have been able to stay up and be able to support everything going on at the campus.

Question: How have GC support services, faculty, or staff supported you?
Answer: The staff and faculty here at GC have helped me so much since I’ve been here. With being injured they have all been there to wish a speedy recovery and help me with rehab and treatment. The faculty here is also outstanding, if I have any questions they are always there to help.

Question: What advice do you have for a new GC student or someone on the fence about attending college?
Answer: Have fun and stay on top of your work. College can be an amazing experience and a place to meet lifelong friends if you allow it to be. Get your work done and turned in early or on time and put yourself out there to meet new people. Join a club or sports team and make new friends.

Question: What are your plans after GC?
Answer: I plan on finishing my last year of college at a university and then continuing my education to earn a master’s degree. I want to go somewhere that I can continue to wrestle if I am able to and work on the degree or degrees I am pursuing.
