Question: Why did you choose Garrett College?
Answer: I was dual enrolled in a few classes while in high school at Southern, so I deemed it was best to continue my education at Garrett. I was also intrigued by the teaching professors and the golf team so I could enjoy my college experience.

Question: How has attending GC worked to your advantage?
Answer: One thing that I have noticed while at Garrett is how clean the facility has been kept. Every day that I am there I see people walking up and down the halls wiping down door handles and disinfecting classrooms. The small class sizes have also been a nice addition so that everything is handled safely, and this pandemic is being taken seriously.

Question: How have Garrett College support services, faculty or staff supported you?
Answer: I needed an extra class to be able to graduate at the end of this semester. I went to my advisor, Dr. Taylor, and asked him for help. He immediately acted and took me to the registrar's office to get registered for this class. They both made the process so easy for me and I really appreciated all their help. A very big Thank You goes out to Dr. Taylor and Mrs. DiGiovanni.

Question: What advice do you have for a new GC student or someone on the fence about attending college?
Answer: Garrett College is a great place to begin a secondary education. The class sizes are small so any questions can be answered by professors. There is a personal relationship with the teachers and their students, and it makes the learning process much easier. Students who are on the fence should consider Garrett.

Question: What are your plans after GC?
Answer: My plan after Garrett is to transfer to Frostburg State to continue pursuing a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I plan to teach middle school math and make an impact on the lives of my students.
