Feeser’s four goals help Howard stop GC

Dragons halt Garrett College’s two-match winning streak, 7-2

Columbia, MD – Carson Feeser scored host Howard Community College’s first four goals Saturday as the Dragons defeated Garrett College’s men’s soccer team, 7-2.

Feeser, who now has 12 goals in 12 games for the Dragons (9-1-2), had a hat trick in the first 22:05 and made it 4-0 when he scored 5:53 into the second half. Nelson Hernandez added two goals and an assist, while Yeabsira Tesfaye had a goal and an assist for Howard.

Elijah Zapata scored off a Darius Hamilton feed to get the Lakers within 5-1. Lucas Alonso Garcia scored the Lakers’ second goal with just 1:56 remaining in the game.

Howard outshot GC, 42-11, as GC goaltenders Wyatt Hull and Brady Spotts each came up with eight saves.

Garrett, which had won two straight, dropped to 6-5.

GC 3, Catonsville 2

Catonsville, MD – Darius Hamilton scored his eighth and ninth goals of the season last Thursday, including the game-winner with 19:22 remaining, as the Lakers erased a 2-0 deficit in the final 28 minutes.

Madieye Wasso scored unassisted in the first half and Smail Cisse tallied off a Jayden Antwi feed just over three minutes into the second half to give Community College of Baltimore County-Catonsville a 2-0 lead.

Hamilton cut the deficit in half with his first goal, which came courtesy of a Bela Kenneweg assist with 28:07 remaining. Santiago Castillo Messa scored the tying goal just 56 seconds later to set the stage for Hamilton’s unassisted game-winner.

Wyatt Hull got the win in goal, making six saves.

GC 4, Hagerstown 1

McHenry, MD – Chris Manherz had a goal and two assists while Lucas Alonso Garcia added a goal and an assist in last Tuesday’s 4-1 win over visiting Hagerstown Community College.

Darius Hamilton and Ben Lohr added goals for the Lakers, who built a 3-0 halftime lead.

Tom Angus stopped three of four shots and Brady Spotts saved the only shot he faced as the pair split time in the GC net.

Women’s Soccer

Catonsville 2, GC 0

Catonsville, MD – Stephanie Ohl had a goal and an assist, and Jana Alharbi scored a goal last Thursday as the Cardinals made a 2-0 halftime lead stand up for the win.

GC goaltender Payton Finley stopped 13 of 15 shots to keep the Lady Lakers in the game.

Garrett also dropped a 1-0 decision last Saturday at Patrick Henry (VA) College.
