Garrett College hosting FAFSA completion day
College's Financial Aid staff to assist families Feb. 21st in applying for student aid
Garrett College will host its free, annual Financial Aid FAFSA Completion Day on Tuesday, February 21st from noon until 6 p.m. in the Financial Aid suite (rooms 401, 403, and 405).
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid – commonly known as "the FAFSA" – is the tool most colleges and universities use to qualify students for federal and state scholarships. The State of Maryland requires that the FAFSA be submitted by March 1st for the upcoming academic year.
"This event is open to all students and their families regardless of what college they wish to attend," said Andrew Harvey, GC's director of financial aid. "Those attending will receive personal assistance from Garrett College financial aid staff members who can help fill out the FAFSA accurately and alleviate any confusion with the required forms."
