Garrett College to host summer adventure camps

Mountain biking, rock climbing, paddle sports, and leadership on tap

Garrett College will be hosting a series of 10 Outdoor and Adventure Summer Camps throughout July and early August.

Three mountain bike camps will be offered based on age: Mountain Bike Madness (July 6-9, 8-10-year-olds), Mountain Bike Magic (July 20-23, 11-13-year-olds), and Mountain Bike Masters (July 27-30, 14-16-year-olds). Those camps run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily and are $250 per camper.

Paddle Adventurers (July 13-16, 8-to-10-year-olds), Paddle Navigators (July 20-23, 14-16-year-olds), and Paddle Voyagers (July 27-30, 11-13-year-olds) run 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, with Adventurers and Voyagers registration costing $380 per camper, and Navigators costing $435 per camper.

Three climbing camps will also be offered: Rock Climbing Road Trip (July 6-10, 14-16-year-olds), Climbing Crushers (July 13-16, 11-13-year-olds), and Climbing Critters (July 20-23, 8-10-year-olds). The Road Trippers costs $730 per camper and includes four overnights while Crushers ($525) has one overnight and Critters ($335) has no overnights.

The Trailblazers Leadership Trek, which includes four overnights, is $730 for 17-18-year-olds and will take place August 3-7.
