GC built a 29-22 halftime lead, but Gaynor (11 rebounds) tallied 15 points after the break to spark the Owls' game-winning comeback. Kristin Smith (12 rebounds) also played a key role in PG's comeback, scoring seven of her 20 points in the third quarter as PG pulled within four points, and then adding five in the fourth period to help force overtime.

Da'shai Morton-Hall (five rebounds, three assists, four steals) led GC with 19 points while Jameriah Butler (eight rebounds, two assists) contributed 14 points. Hailey Newsome just missed a double-double with 13 rebounds and nine points, while Gianna Michaux (seven points) finished with a game-high 14 rebounds.

GC had late opportunities, but the Lady Lakers turned the ball over twice in the final 18 seconds to blunt their comeback efforts. Garrett fell to 5-6 overall and 2-3 in NJCAA Division II Region 20.

Gaynor only made 8-of-23 shots from the field, but she also went 8-of-11 from the free-throw line.
