Holiday workshop scheduled for GC
College, Deep Creek Pottery team up for 4th annual event
Garrett College and Deep Creek Pottery are once again teaming up to bring festive creativity to the community with the return of the 4th Annual Classic Holiday Workshop, taking place on Friday, November 15th from 2 to 6 p.m. at Deep Creek Pottery in McHenry.
This popular, hands-on event welcomes participants of all ages to paint and personalize their own ceramic holiday keepsakes. With 17 different ceramic items to choose from, it's a perfect way to create heartfelt gifts or festive decorations, according to GC Coordinator of Community Education Matia Vanderbilt. No experience is necessary, and the environment is both fun and relaxed.
"We're excited to bring this event back for its fourth year," said Vanderbilt. "It's a joyful way for families and friends to spend time together, make something meaningful, and kick off the holiday season."
While walk-ins are welcome as supplies allow, early registration is strongly encouraged to secure a spot and ensure a wide selection of ceramic options.
Vanderbilt said the Classic Holiday Workshop continues to be a meaningful tradition for the community, offering creativity, connection, and holiday cheer in a warm, welcoming setting.
