Riddell’s four goals leads Essex over GC
White notches 15 saves in goal for Garrett College in 8-0 loss
Garrett College’s Ben Lohr gets past Carroll Community College goalkeeper Alexander Nicolaides on the way to scoring a goal in last Thursday’s 5-0 victory over the Lynx.
Autumn Riddell scored four goals while teammate Mackenzie Celenza had two goals and three assists Saturday afternoon as Community College Baltimore County-Essex (4-7-1 overall, 3-1-1 region) notched an 8-0 NJCAA Division II Region 20 victory.
Essex goalkeeper Kaylani Navarro-Banegas stopped the only shot she faced to earn the shutout. Ada White recorded 15 saves in goal for the Lady Lakers (2-7, 2-4).
Carroll 6, GC 0
Michaela West scored twice and added an assist last Thursday as Carroll Community College shut out the Lady Lakers.
West had the only goal of the first half. She capped a five-goal second half by the Lynx, tallying with four minutes remaining to complete the scoring.
GC goaltender Ada White finished with 13 saves. Katie Broom earned the shutout for Carroll without recording a save.
AACC 9, Garrett 0
Arnold, MD – Alyssa Simms (two assists) and Emma Miga (one assist) each scored twice last Tuesday night to lead the Riverhawks to the victory.
Anne Arundel outshot the Lakers, 39-0, with Ryleigh Smoot and Holly Wall splitting the shutout in goal. GC goaltender Ada White recorded 14 saves.
Five different Riverhawks scored goals in the opening half.
