Groups, Guiding & Instruction
The faculty, staff, and students at the Garrett College Center for Adventure & Outdoor Studies (CAOS) provide professionally guided outdoor experiences and instructional programs in rock climbing and mountain biking throughout Garrett County and the surrounding region. CAOS also offers facilitated team-building initiatives and low ropes challenge course programs designed to strengthen communication, trust, leadership, and problem-solving skills. These experiential offerings support athletic teams, student groups, workplace teams, and community partners seeking purposeful group development.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
The CAOS Experiential Education Service cancellation policy is designed to protect our instructors from lost work. Our faculty, staff and students are among the most experienced and professional in the region, and last-minute cancellations significantly impact their ability to sustain their work in a demanding industry.
- A $50 deposit is required to reserve small-group programs (1–6 participants).

A $200 deposit is required for large-group programs (7 or more participants).
- For large groups, the deposit becomes non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 30 days of the scheduled date.
Weather Cancellations
- Receive a full refund, or
- Reschedule for a future date (based on availability).
Small-Group (1–6 Participants) Cancellation Policy
- More than 14 days prior: Full refund available.
- 7–14 days prior: Rescheduling available (no refund).
- Within 7 days: No refund or rescheduling available.
